Zahur Haider Zaidi IPS HP:1994 has been appointed to the coveted post of Director Jawaharlal Nehru Indian Cultural Centre, Embassy of India Jakarta, Indonesia.
A mechanical Engineer by training, Zaidi is presently serving as PS to MOS External Affairs E Ahamed. In 1994 he embarked on a career in the IPS and has served in Mandi, Kullu, Solan and Kangra in Himachal Pradesh.
His contribution in streamlining the passport services during his tenure as Regional Passport officer, Lucknow was hailed everywhere over the way he singularly brought it within the reach of common man.
An avid writer, Zahur book `Cop at Large’ (2009) was among the best seller and was critically acclaimed among the intelligentsia and also policemen over its honest approach.
